REPRINT:
Sports Illustrated- October 14th, 1974

This one is a real gem. It's a pre-"Pumping Iron" article from the pages of Sports Illustrated circa. 1974. In it, author Richard W. Johnston chronicles the state of the sport at the pro level at that time. And at that time Arnold was King with Franco, Zane, Waller, Katz, and a 22-year-old Lou Ferrigno not far behind. This article will transport you back to that heady period when Gold's in Venice was the center of the bodybuilding universe.

I've scanned each page and retouched them carefully for maximum legibility and clarity. While it may take a little while to download all of the pages if you're on anything slower than DSL, I can guarantee that it will be worth the wait. All of the pages, with the exception of the cover spread, are formatted to fit on a letter-sized sheet of paper. I did this because the article is just too bulky to be read onscreen. The emails reporting blindness and migranes would overwhelm me.

All photographic credits are included on the front spread of the article.

ENJOY!

They're saved at 150 dpi which means they should be of decent enough quality for printing on an inkjet. The legibility on a laserjet might be slightly less but should still be readable.
